Audacious, confident, and quick-witted, Daniel is a young explorer who has one goal: to find land before anyone else does. The Age of Exploration is at its peak, and treading the unpredictable waters is a challenge perfect for Daniel's competitive spirit. Adventure runs in his blood. Living in the 1600's isn't so bad when you're born into one of the wealthiest families in England. Daniel's journey teaches him, though, that there's more to life than riches.
King of Teraglen, Matthias must protect his precious land. He must protect Castle Megaladon, the House of Ossarion - the home of his ancestors. His mistakes from the past haunt his conscience, but the present offers him a chance at redemption.
Alania, married to King Matthias, is the queen of Teraglen. She is the master of the House of Ossarion, alongside her husband. She is quiet in nature, but she rules with a steadfastness, guiding Teraglen with her great wisdom.
A man with a dark family past, Dror is the leader of the cursed and banished: those forgotten and left for dead. He sits on a throne made of animal skulls - a symbol of pride.
Sustaining a growing civilization on scarce resources is a pressuring task; loyalty must be demanded, in return. Teraglen calls this man a villain, while his people call him a hero. One could say he’s both...
Candid, outspoken, and slightly offensive when being humorous, Brynn becomes Daniel's best friend in the other-worldly realm. She speaks little of her past, but she is a loyal friend who Daniel can trust.
Bold. Resilient. Strong. Raised in the city of Zander, Edith Prayne is the Head Protectress of Teraglen. Every day, she is willing to give the ultimate sacrifice for her people: her own life. Her love for her land, and her love for her fly-dark Yara, guides her through every battle: the ones she faces on the battlefield, and the ones she faces on the inside, alone.
Yara is the Head Fly-Dark of Teraglen, Edith's right hand. This creature is social and rambunctious, and is always willing to meet new people. Like other fly-darks, Yara can understand every word spoken in the languages of the Teras. Her current master, Edith, is always by her side. Flying is a full-time job, and Yara gets repaid with fresh trunc (raw fish).
Liam is the Head Protector of Teraglen. He was raised in the city of Haddock, the city where young fighters are born. As the king's right-hand warrior, Liam has a single mission: to protect Teraglen from the East. With his fly-dark Vinn by his side, Liam conquers battles with his bravery, and he lives up to the meaning of his name: strong-willed warrior and protector.
Vinnicus, or Vinn, is only 100 years old. He is fly-dark to the Head Protector, Liam, making him the Head Fly-Dark of Teraglen, next to Yara. This creature has seen many battles and served many masters throughout his lifetime. He has 400 more years to go before he retires from the battlefield.
